The Rossellinis is a documentary about the family of the famous filmmaker Robert Rossellini, from the perspective of his eldest grandson Alessandro Rossellini and other descendants of Robert, including his daughter, actress Isabella Rossellini, from Robert’s marriage to Ingrid Bergman. Robert Rossellini was a strong anti-conformist, prone to romances from which a large multiethnic family emerged. Feeling the burden of the surname he carries, the author decides to film his debut film at the age of 55, pushing his relatives into a real family therapy in front of the cameras.
Alessandro Rossellini is known as a director, actor, and writer. Some of his works includes The Rossellinis, Wild at Heart, Memorie di un limone, Nel nome del male.
